What is Emissions Tampering?
Tampering means modifying or altering a vehicle's emission control system. A vehicle that has any type of modification made to its emission control system is considered tampered. There are many ways to make modifications: installing a tuner to override the computer, replacing the muffler, and removing the catalytic converter. These are examples, there are many ways emission systems can be tampered or altered.

Foremost, a deleted or tampered vehicle has a much lower resale value because it is lacking the same functionality that it came with off the production line.
